The Sole 85 treadmill is one of Sole’s highest end, heaviest duty treadmills. It can accommodate walkers, joggers and runners with ease. It comes with a 3.5 continuous duty motor that has a lifetime warranty. The frame and deck also have a lifetime warranty. Electronics and wear parts have a 5 year warranty and labor has a two year warranty. This warranty is one of the best around, and can usually only be found on higher end machines, like this one.
The Sole F85 comes with a 60 inch long running deck, which makes it more comfortable for running and also makes it more comfortable for taller people. The running deck is also quite wide, at 20 inches, which makes for a safer walking or running experience. The deck features Cushion Flex padding, which has been shown to reduce impact by 65%. Its weight capacity is 400 pounds, so it can accommodate even the very overweight exerciser.
The Sole F85 has a lot of features that serious exercisers can really appreciate. It has a telemetric heart rate control, which can adjust your speed based on your heart rate. It has wide commercial rollers, and a maximum speed of 12 miles per hour.
The incline and speed on the Sole F85 can be automatically adjusted with speed keys in the hand grips, so you can keep moving without a lot of hassle changing speeds or adding hills. And, the Sole F85’s incline adjusts from 0 to 15%, which is perfect for increasing the intensity of your cardiovascular workout or for strengthening your lower body.
There are 6 pre-set programs on this machine, two user defined programs and two heart rate programs. As mentioned above, the heart rate programs adjust your speed automatically based on your heart rate to help you keep your heart rate in the training zone.
The display on the machine is easy to read. You can monitor speed, time, distance, incline, pace, pulse and calories burned quickly and easily. You can also see a quarter mile track and a peaks and valleys graph if you choose. There’s also a fan to help keep you cool and speakers for your MP3 player.
The Sole F85 is one of Sole’s highest end treadmills. It will cost you around $2000, but this price is absolutely comparable to other treadmills with these features, this warranty and the ability to accommodate serious running.
This is a highly recommended treadmill. In fact, it’s probably the closest thing you’ll find to a commercial treadmill in the home use size and price range. It weighs 280 pounds, so it is very sturdy. And, though it does fold away; at this weight you probably want to find a permanent spot for it. Because of its size, when you do fold it, it is still less than compact.
Users who have ranked this treadmill have given it very favorable ratings. The most common complaints with this treadmill are that the fans are not very useful and that the speakers for the MP3 player aren’t great.
One of the chief complaints among home treadmill users is typically assembly. However, users of the Sole F85 have reported that while assembling the unit does take a while, it is fairly straightforward.
One of the reasons that Sole treadmills get such favorable reviews is that Sole has learned to make very high quality and durable products because of their association with the hotel industry. They have worked with hotels chains to provide their fitness equipment for many years, and this has resulted in them making some of the most durable treadmills on the market.
Sole is a highly reputable company in the fitness industry. They have been in business for more than 20 years. Their treadmills are known for having a simple and easy to use design, as well as for their durability. If you do have a problem with their equipment, they are easy to work with and quick to make the problem right.
If you’re shopping for treadmills in the $2000 price range, there are some others you should check out for the sake of having a good comparison to the Sole F85. The Sole F83, for example, will save you about $300. The Sole F83 compares very favorably to this model. It does have a slightly smaller motor, a slightly lower weight capacity and a slightly shorter running deck. But, if you’re a smaller person who is a light runner or jogger, these items might not matter to you at all.
It’s always a good idea to do some comparison shopping between brands before you buy. Other companies who make treadmills include Schwinn, LifeFitness and Nautilus. You can read reviews online to get a good idea of how the features and prices compare, but be sure that you check out any treadmill you think you really like in person before you buy.
Taking your time to review several treadmills before you buy is the best way to ensure that you end up with the very best treadmill for you. There are so many from which to choose and such a wide variety of prices that it can actually seem quite overwhelming. But, if you take the time to review your needs and your budget carefully, you’ll soon determine the right treadmills that deserve your further consideration. Before you know it, you’ll be on your way to a great workout, right in your own home, on your very own treadmill. You’ll find that working out has never been easier or more convenient than when you’re doing it right in your own home.
